Taralga Hotel & Argyle Inn
This was a great investigation, and we thank the management at the Taralga Hotel and the Argyle Inn for allowing us to Investigate.
The Argyle Inn was built in 1875, and the Taralga Hotel built in 1876. Both have seen many generations of Taralga locals enjoy them as popular meeting places.
Beautiful Taralga is situated on the Tablelands Way, 44kms North West of Goulburn along a sealed road. "The Tablelands Way is a great drive or ride destination".
Interlocking all the quaint picturesque villages through the Upper Lachlan Shire. For a day trip or a weekend away from the hype of every day life, you will fall in love with Taralga.
Our Investigation began at the Taralga Hotel, we spent time in the Blacksmith's cottage, which is as old as the hotel, moving in to the hotel, before heading down to the supposed "lynching tree", located in a paddock in between both hotels. We then conducted a few experiments at the Argyle Inn, before calling it a night and cozying up in our electric blankets (it was FREEZING).
Below are two videos made of our time in Taralga, as well as some photographs and newspaper articles on this historic town.
